Packet 4 Query

As most of you who have been or are scheduled for interview, I would expect a packet 4 to be sent to my home address via courier. My question is --- I have received an email from the IV section of the USEM in Bangkok indicating my interview schedule, would I be bothered that I haven't received the actual packet 4 letter? or not--- and just print off the email appointment they sent to me?

The infamous letter may never come. Mine never did. Just do as you say & you will be fine.

Ning, thank you so much for your kind reply. So, the packet 4 is done solely through email, no longer via courier.

Actually, funny to add that a couple or three months back, I was expecting a P3 letter. So I kept on emailing them and informing them

that I have not received the P3 on my mailbox, and when I even told them that I came down to the post office to ask about it, only to

find out that they have not gotten any. Well, I finished the P3 docs, sent it, and days after I did that, came the P3 letter from the

embassy. I guess, were it not for the whole VJ forum community and the initiative of the applicants to inquire and email, we would have

been all lost. Let's take for example, having a case number already from the NVC forwarded to the USEM. I strongly stand that it is the

USEM-IV section to email the beneficiaries that the case is already in BKK and should start informing about the P3 documents. I am

beginning to believe the system becomes any form of government in South East Asia. It is sad, really. Anyway, these are just my thoughts.

Got my email January19, 2012 and they mailed my letter January 20. Arrived in the mail January 25. The letter and the email are exactly the same so as Ning stated you can just printout the email. Good luck.
