Can anyone tell me if they allow you to take your cell phones with you to the embassy in Bogota?? I remember going to the Japanese embassy to see a friend last time I was in Bogota and they had lockers out front that you could store personnal items before actually entering the embassy. Is the US Embassy similar? The reason I ask, Luisa has her interview on Tuesday, and I was hoping that she could call me as soon as the meeting was over to tel me how the interview went.

Bogota says you can take in cell phones that do not have cameras, but they do ask that you turn the ringers off. If the phone has a camera be prepared to leave it at home or check it at the front door.

Once your fiancee has the YES it will only take her 3-5 minutes to get back to the front gate and get her cell phone to call you. Once they giove you the YES your fiancee can head straight for the exit.
