relyn and i have heard about the infamous brown envelope and heard its wrapped in plastic.....bottom line we have read is do not open this envelope till point of entry. what exactly is in this envelope?

also i believe when this envelope arrives to relyn it will also have her passport in another envelope. is this true?

we are about three (we pray) months away from being able to file I129f. we are waiting on annulment currently projected to take 12 months.

The passport is not in the brown envelope, that I can tell you for sure.

The brown envelope contains X-men action comics and tickets to the football game.

<not really> I understand her passport will be stapled to the brown envelope. I believe it holds the papers the foreign consulate filled out at the time of her interview and I think your original packet that was forwarded to the foreign embassy by NVC.

The passport and brown envelope will be in a clear envelope, it is OK to open the clear envelope to retrieve the passport, but don't open the brown envelope.

Regarding what's in the envelope, she didn't look through the whole thing, just noticed some of the paperwork since it's open at the top. She said that what she did notice was our DS forms (the 156 and 157, I assume), the copies of my taxes that I gave them with the I-134, and my paystubs from work. I would venture that the I-134 is in there too.

ok thats funny because you're post is the same one i read and it warned me about that particular thing to remember. thank you because its clearer to me now. so when ur fiance opened it to get the passport the brown envelope was not sealed. seems like mistake at the embassy of improper sealing in the first place.

When i was given my brown envelope i asked what was inside and the lady said anything that you have ever submitted to USCIS and anything you submitted at the interview.

When I got my brown envelope it came with a little letter stating that it contains the forms and documents supplied at the interview and before, with the I-129F. So it's nothing mysterious.
