I hope that we are almost done... We know that my husband has to get the "Forma Literal" for his birth certificate and another thing with his first divorce.

Can you please tell how and when did you go about getting these documents in the form that the Tegucigalpa requests them? Did you have to bring a letter or something from the NVC or embassy in order for the offices to give you the forma literal version?

Thanks in Advance...

Hi Chula, you get the birth certificate in forma literal en el Registro. You just go and request it and they give it a week after, but in SPS and Tegucigalpa they give the same day. I am not sure if you have to pay, but i gave the girl 100 lempiras. I recently found out that the birth certificate is valid for 6 months though. Other vj member said 1 month so I am not sure about that.

Also Marriage license, en forma literal, for you two. From what I can tell they cost about $5-7 more than the regular format but they come from the same place. And have him review them before he leaves the building!

It also looks like the documents are valid for 6 months, but we are getting new ones to take to my husband's interview in a couple weeks anyway.
