A movement is now underway to organize a boycott of the City of Philadelphia. Philadelphia has had 20 murders as of January 14th including a horrific terrorist-style skull smashing in Old City.

Mayor Nutter spoke about the murders of three teens last week but for many it’s simply too little too late. Additionally, Philadelphia's PC left wing elite was furious with the mayor for suggesting that solutions for ending the violence would only come from a strong family.

The reputation of Philadelphia as being not only of the most dangerous cities in the country but also in the world is rapidly growing. Sadly, Mayor Nutter's core beliefs are actually making the city less safe. Story here.

The inhabitants who remain within city limits are living through a spectacular societal collapse that would have been unheard of just a few decades ago when Mayor Frank Rizzo was at the helm.

A boycott of the city would not only send a message to the mayor and other officials about continuing to allow political correctness to result in more murders, but also makes good sense for the safety of anyone concerned about his or her own life.

Convention planners around the nation are already scratching Philadelphia off of their possible destination lists. Potential travelers to the city are being warned by friends and coworkers on the dangers there. The warnings bring to mind the way the State Department warns on travel to volatile countries around the world such as Afghanistan and Somalia.

I've been on a boycott for awhile now. My wife on the other hand wants to go there to the theaters and see some of the historic sites, she's come here 8 times in 2 years and I've never taken her to the city. Now that she should be here in a month to live, I'll send this to her so that she gets the idea out of her head to go there.

what do you expect from people who routinely throw batteries at people, boo and throw snowballs at Santa and then cheer for injured players...

Take her to Steubenville. That's a happening place.

I fail to see what a Boycott will accomplish?

Between White-flight and Black-flight the city is doomed.

They are left with the Black undertow as this once great city joins a list of Cities which have reached the tipping point.

Philadelphia had the highest homicide rate out of the nation’s 10 most populous cities, according to statistics provided by each city’s police department.

The city saw 20.7 homicides per 100,000 residents in 2011, with Chicago following closely with 15.7. There were 324 homicides in Philadelphia this past year, 306 in 2010 and 302 in 2009. However, 2007 saw a five-year high of 392.

Philly is another city in a sad state of affairs in which is becoming a trend these days. Libs take over the big cities, they push their liberal ####### and screw everything up to their way of thinking and doing, the middle class and upper class move out to the burbs and beyond and next thing you know the city is a dying war zone full of decay and unpaid bills. It's a tragedy that's being played out in most big cities in the US. Crime, poverty, and decay due to liberal ineptitude.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."
