I have seen June 2011 applicants who got approved in Jan 2012. So not sure, there is no definite for USCIS.

Few patterns i saw on VJ is that applicants from Japan, S Korea, & Dominican Republic seems to getting NOA2 approved in 1-2 months.

Where as others are waiting 4-7 months just to get NOA2

Before I filed for my spouse I studied time frames a little. I noticed that people that filed before May got done quicker. And I noticed that things slowed down during winter holidays. So I knew I wanted to file around May or before and never around November. But some people get lucky and they get approved quickly. Sometimes it is the luck of the draw.

May 24, 2011 NOA1

Sept 11, 2011 NOA2-took 19 days to get case number

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

PLEASE EDIT YOUR TIMELINE IN YOUR PROFILE SO OTHERS CAN LEARN HOW LONG EACH STEP TAKES IN THIS PROCESS
