I totally agree with you. Just a few weeks a go I posted on here commenting on the same topic as someone was already complaining after having waited 2 weeks! I was gunned down and misunderstood by everyone, so it does not surprise me that people are attacking the OP when his question was not unreasonable. I also mentioned that bitching and whining is not going to speed up the process and that this is a Government Agency we are dealing with what more does one expect. Using all ones energy complaining is not going to speed up the process and there are more constructive things that one could be doing. But I honestly feel that it's a personality thing, some people see the glass half full and some half empty and my guessing is that the people who ###### and whine do so about most aspects of their lives.

he's not saying you can't miss them - for whatever reason...he's commenting on the whining and complaining that's appeared recently...

Well, baring in mind that the question itself is 'questionable'...

Everyone here is in a different situation, and a different point in their lives. There are those who have been together a matter of months, and those together for years. The dynamics in a relationship are different between the two. If you've become used to being appart for years at a time, then you probably are more likely to not view this process as much different. For those who aren't used to it, it's a lot harder. You've been with your beloved and now the US government is what lies in the way of being together again.

Equally, we have people from all sorts of social backgrounds. Some are introverts, some are extroverts, some are into a lot of things, some aren't. While some people take comfort in doing a lot of things to get their mind off of it, others look for the support of others in similar situations. That is what a lot of people are doing, at least it seems to me. They are emotional, as this is an emotional process, and looking for a few kind words of support from others in the same boat. Yes, it gets tiresome if it goes on forever and a day, but everyone copes their own way.

As for the sex thing... I'm just fine with Mr. Lefty for the time being. I miss the hugs from my beloved more than anything else.

I find it interesting that the accusations of bitching and whining are coming from Vermont and DCF petitioners. I have 3 points to make and I might not be popular for doing so:

1. This website is a forum for getting information about the process and discussing your highs and lows of this journey.

2. Am I one of the whiners?

3. Anyone who filed and received a greencard same day cannot pass judgement or begin to understand the disappoint and frustration of someone else who has been waiting 6 months for a petition approval.

The OP is just dumb.

I waited for 5 months to get k1 approved, and I wasn't frustrated or dissapointed.. I guess if you thought u were gonna get approved in a week and a bunch of flowers from USCIS, then yea, u were dissapointed..

I don't see what the big deal is either way. If someone wants to b#tch and moan anonymously on an internet forum to vent or pass the time, what is it to anyone else? if someone else wants to accept the wait and go see movies and hang out with their friends, then they are too busy to read the whiner's posts so it shouldn't be a concern to them anyhow! :D

I agree with you...but usually the people that are too busy to read the b#tch & moan posts do a fair amount of bitching & moaning about those posts...:whistle::lol:

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I disagree...for instance, I lived with my fiance for 3 years & now have seen him twice in a year. After living a 'married life' with him, I find it awfully disconcerting to be in this position without him, but at the same time, I accept it for what it is.

To everyone else....I think it's wild how everyone's getting so bent out of shape about the 'sex' aspect of this.....OP said it to rile everyone up, and apparantly it worked! Why do ppl on here feel the need to justify their relationships? Of COURSE they're not just about sex...so just ignore it...that's my take on it

For the good folks who have no reference of the OP, they were initially bothered, but now, folks are just having fun with it... Like myself... Cheers!!!

I don't see how what you said differs from my original response.

You lived with your fiancee' for three years, and now you're appart now that you've started the process. That's different from being appart for three years and then starting the process and -still- being appart. You were used to him being there, and then had to let go.

What I mean is people who have been appart for years and years and are still appart while they do this process. Those people are used to being appart more than together. It's a different dynamic.
