Petitioner's Birth Certificate

Hi,

I have received an email from NVC saying that the petitioner's Birth certificate is missing.

I have already sent them a notarized copy of my Birth certificate and its translation in English. I don't know what shall I send now. I thought notarized copy of my birth certificate is considered certified copy. Can somebody help please. I am very confused..

P.S. my Birth Certificate is not in English, So have sent them the notarized translation too.

You have no time line or information to give you better advice. The petitioner birth certificate needs to be a good color copy of the "certified" copy, that is the original with the gold or embossed seal. Take the original to you your interview, unless they asked for it specifically.

I am the Petitioner, I am not going to the interview. and the Birth certificates of my country are like a small booklet with no seal and in black and white. I made a copy of it and a copy of the translation , notarized both and sent but now they say petitioner's Birth certificate is missing!!

Resend what you sent before with a letter of explanation. You want to include something that describes the birth certificate of your country from an official website. Which county are you from, by the way?
