OPA-LOCKA — In what might be South Florida's first arrest of its kind, a mother is accused of trying to sell her infant son into a good home for $7,000.

Kenia Quiala Bosque, 30, of Miami, tried to trade her 8-month-old son for cash to an acquaintance, police said.

She told the Monroe County man, whom police didn't identify, that she was in "deep financial distress" and she thought he could provide a good home for her son, said Bob Breeden, assistant special agent in charge with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

"She knew he would be a good father to the child, and would not abuse the child," he said.

There's lots of candidates for Incubator of the Year: the woman in Texas who brought them to the welfare office and shot them, the one in Wisconsin who punched kid in the face after the Packers lost, the missing girl in Arizona whom they believe was put to landfill and the little girl in Philadelphia last week who was put out to the curb for trash. I wish the media wouldn't use the word Mother so loosely, these women are nothing more than incubators. It's weird they make us take a test to drive, but not to bring another life into the world.
