Dear Vj's Friends,

We are currently in the process of K-1 visa that we filled from the beginning of July 2011.

And up to now we have not received our Noa2 (also no RFE)

Since May, my last visit to the U.S.. and now we really miss each other.

I wish to visit him on February 2012 and stay with him longer (the longest is 6 months), in case if we get our Noa2 before 6 months, then I will go back to my country for the interview process

Now, because i will stay longer in US then i have plan to resign from my current job.

My question is :

1. I understand if I may enter the U.S., with no intent to live permanently in the U.S. (no longer than 6 months / permission granted by immigration). Letter of whether evidence should I bring to my show at the Immigration (Have all doc K-1 visa applications we can serve as proof?)

2. Regarding my plans to resign from my job.

In G-325 A, Biographic information of mine. Writing that I worked at a company (which currently I am still working). Will this be a problem when i face the interview ? (Because of the difference information in the G-325A with the conditions of work that I did not have the time I face interview)

Do we need to make changes to information to the VSC ?

We really need this answer :help: , so we were not wrong in taking decisions.

Many Thanks :)

God Bless

I'm not sure about your second question, but there's a lot of back and forth on visiting while the K1 is in process. Do a google search on it and other threads on this forum will show up. From what I've read, you should never lie to the customs officer. Say "I am visiting my fiancee." They'll ask you how long, maybe some additional questions because of the word "fiancee" but you should be OK based on all the responses I've seen. You should bring a copy of the I-129F that was submitted and things to show ties to your home country, such as a copy of your lease, a letter from your employer, etc.

The second question: No, it shouldn't have an impact since you'll have to fill out some other forms before you go to the interview. If I remember correctly, one of them asks for employment history and then you simply update your information. People are allowed to change occupation, some get fired and things just change over time. As long as the information is correct when you filed the petition. You are the beneficiary/overseas fiancee from what I gather?

If the CBP asks "business or pleasure", you simply reply "pleasure". If asked of the purpose of your stay, then the truth is of course visiting your fiance. Quitting your job(if they ask for it) might not look great in the eyes of a CBP but I admit, I took the change the first time visiting and was let in after a few questions - I had recently quit studying. Anything you can think of as ties to your home country is good to bring but if you miss each other greatly, I'd take the change if I was in your shoes(because I have walked a mile in them at least on this matter :P )

I just returned from Christmas Eve celebrations. Joy and sorrow mingled into one. Happy to be given the opportunity to gather together with other Christian people to celebrate Christmas Eve, at once sad that must be separated by distance with my fiance. I hope this Christmas night last time I had to celebrate without him at my side.

I am very grateful to you who have responded to my topic. Your reply gave me the understanding and confidence to face my problems.

And indeed, I'll be honest in dealing with immigration. There should be no lies. I will bring evidence that we are in the process of K-1 (I-129) and some evidence that would convince them that I do not have an intention to stay in the U.S..

Once again, thanks for the reply.

Visa Journey I hope you will run smoothly.

Merry Christmas. God bless you.
