You could wait for many months and then get an RFE. Send either when you get it. As long as it is filled out it is not going to matter what the date is.

Your file is in a box somewhere at CSC, when they get to it they will review it and either approve it or send an RFE. If they send an RFE do exactly what the instructions say to do and return it in the envelope and with the documentation provided.

Good morning. You will most assuredly receive a RFE for not checking the box on section C because it pertains specifically to IMBRA.

Unfortunately, most people's petitions have been sitting lately for 5 months before being adjudicated, so I would expect another 1.5-2 months before you receive the RFE.

When it comes, submit a new I-129F with an accurate date. The good news is that the RFE should only set you back an additional 2-3 weeks after you receive it.

Good luck for the rest of the process.

You will most likely receive an RFE for this - I did. I too didn't answer that question because I thought it related to the previous question. It's confusing and this is a fairly common mistake.

Follow what they tell you on the RFE exactly. For me, it was not requested to send a new I-129F. They provided a space for me to answer the question on the RFE notice. That is what I send back to them after marking the indicated answer.

In my opinion 2-3 weeks is a little optimistic. I'd count on a month delay. If it takes less, great. If not, at least you are prepared for the wait. Mine took right at a month (and that was with congressional inquiry - I suspect it would have been longer had I not had that). This is just my opinion, but I think which service center you are going through is a factor. VSC seems to be slower on RFEs than CSC.

Good luck!

..Thank you guys for your reply.. that question really confused me a lot i thought its for those who are serving the armed forces :crying:.. Well i guess by this time we should wait for the RFE and do exactly what they tell on the RFE and expect longer waiting time for our NOA2.. Advance Merry Christmas to all of you!!!
