getting prepared...

I know, we don't have our NOA2 yet, but I want to start getting prepared...

I have to go to the Frankfurt embassy in Germany.

the petitioner:

-NOA2 original or copy?

-Affidativ of support W-2, tax forms? the last 3 years? can he just get the forms from IRS?

-Letter of intent

-Letter from the employer stating the rank, pay and when he joined?

-Letter from the bank what does the letter has to say?

-paychecks from the last year?

-ID copy DL and Military ID? He has no passport.

-birth certificate original or copy?

-divorce decree original or copy?

Which address does he hast to put on the the 3 letters? Cause this is going to the embassy and not to the Lockbox anymore.

How long are the letters valid? So, if he would get it done next month, dated in December, would that be ok?

Am I missing something or is that all I have to get from him?

Thanks to you all in advance :)

My responses are in bold and I lined out unnecessary items.

the petitioner:

-NOA2 original or copy?

-Affidativ of support W-2, tax forms? the last 3 years? can he just get the forms from IRS?

He can obtain tax transcripts from the IRS.

-Letter of intent

-Letter from the employer stating the rank, pay and when he joined?

Good on both counts.

-Letter from the bank what does the letter has to say?

What do you need a letter from the bank for?

-paychecks from the last year?

Last 6 months ought to be sufficient.

-ID copy DL and Military ID? He has no passport.

-birth certificate original or copy?

Yours is needed, his is not. Check with the Consulate for the original or copy requirement.

-divorce decree original or copy?

Check with the Consulate for the original or copy requirement.

Which address does he hast to put on the the 3 letters? Cause this is going to the embassy and not to the Lockbox anymore.

How long are the letters valid? So, if he would get it done next month, dated in December, would that be ok?

Am I missing something or is that all I have to get from him?

Consulate address goes on the letters. There is no time limit to their validity (IMO, it's better to do it once an interview date is assigned, that way, if they are viewed by a CO, they are more 'current').

Hi Sabine and Mike,

I'm 10 days behind you!

I'm getting other things done as well. I have just applied for my Police Report, got blood test done yesterday for Immunity as I have no vaccine records, and I am going for my medical mid-December so i don't get caught in the Christmas/January holidays. The embassy should have a listed packet 3 example showing you what they require. There is a list in my embassy and it shows whether they want original or copy or both for various docs etc. Have a good look around on that website as that will be the information for YOU. I don't plan to get the I134 stuff dated and sent until the NOA2 has arrived, could be close, could be far away...

Good luck with all your gatherings etc.

Thank you for your replay :)

Can't remember where I read it, but it said, letter from the bank...date of opening account, name on it, money on it....something like that!

I will forward it to him...I know my fiancee, it takes him a little bit to get things done, so I will let him know now :)

I will do the things too, but my police report just takes a week or two, so I will wait with that.

I had a vaccination pass and I forgot it in the states, so I'm kinda worried to send this via mail...what if they get lost? The same with my original birth certificate, I got a new one! so, i guess, i will let him send it to me and hoping it won't get lost :)

Good luck to you too :)
