Waiting for my Visa

As the state Do Not book any flights in advance because there is maybe delays in processing your Visa, delivery, and CFO. I know the feeling of excitement and after the long wait for your loved one to be there with you but it is still a process and a missed up one at that!! You may end up paying more now for rescheduling the flight. Call the airline asap to see what there policy is on flight changes and fees.

This is exactly what happen to a Friend of my Fiance coming at this time of the year last year. They did not anticipate the many National holidays and not to mention peoples personal holidays that slowed down the process and made her miss her initial departure date. She not only had to pay extra for rescheduling but could not get any flight immediately as it is the busiest time for travelers and were fully booked, she ended getting a flight 2 days after Xmas! That's why as excited as I am even though I've got some ways to go before getting any status update, I keep telling myself that when we finally (praying) get to that stage that I will wait till Visa in hand and CFO done before booking.

i got interviewed and approved last november 17. and guess what? im still waiting for my visa to be delivered. 11 days already after the interview. my fiance is with me since 15 and he is disappointed that he wont be able to spend a week in his house with me when we get to the US coz he gona be at work a day after we arrive. all his vacations are consumed here and the money too coz he never expected that it will take us this long.. but the feeling that the visa is approved is better than hanging like when we havent been interviewed. hehehe

no additional document. the lady consul told us we are approve. and she told my fiance that he wont wait that long.

Well its a holiday today in the Philippines, i'minlove got her text from 2GO her interview was November 21 if I'm not mistaken. I'm sure you have tried contacting USEM to check for updates...We have no choice but to wait. I can relate to what you're feeling

Well its a holiday today in the Philippines, i'minlove got her text from 2GO her interview was November 21 if I'm not mistaken. I'm sure you have tried contacting USEM to check for updates...We have no choice but to wait. I can relate to what you're feeling

7 Working days already passed I'm on the 8th working day and I am out of luck. Sent emails, called several numbers and there were no concrete answers. Call center said they don't have access to the status of my passport. No one can tell why it is taking forever for them to print mine when in fact those who had their interview on a later date already have their visa on hand. It is extremely depressing.

I actually don't know what AP is and I wasn't given any paperwork I was just asked to go to window 72 i think then was advised to wait for my passport at home. It's been a long wait and all I wanted was to be with Nick before the holiday. I don't want him to spend too much on the ticket that's why I'm so anxious to get it this week. Last week was a total failure, I've been left out by those who had their interview after November 23 they already have their passport and some are even scheduled to leave this Saturday.

Heh YEP! She's actually going to spend Christmas and New Years with her family in The Philippines. So she can spend more time with them before she leaves because I know once she's in the US and starts working... it's going to be hard trying to get vacation days to visit them again. It's funny though, when we were going to the whole NOA1/NOA2/Interview process, we couldn't wait for this day, but now we realize that our lives are about to change (for the better of course) and we need to take this part a little more slowly so we can smoothly transition into our next part in life, being married together.

Thanks maning! I've tried that etrace several times and I get the message that the mnl case is invalid so they don't have it yet. tell your fiance congratulations! I just find it weird that I don't have any updates on my passport as to why its taking them more that 7 working days to print out my visa and send it to me. I'm just in the metro manila area anyway. Its the 9th working day today...I'm still clueless

It probably depends on your CO and how fast he/she can prepare your file to get processed and assigned a visa. Just give it one more week. I'm sure it will show up. Also, they tell you to give at least 2 weeks for delivery, not counting holidays and weekends, so you're still in normal processing times. I'm sure you will be in the USA before Christmas though!
