That is the answer about AP. Being that Nigeria is such a high fraud Embassy most (if not all) beneficiaries are put through AP... Additionally, ALL MENA beneficiaries are placed in AP for name checks and additional security clearances since 9/11.

Hope it is a short AP! Good luck!!

Your Comments about Nigeria has always being derailing and to correct you,Nigeria isnt always placed on AP..being that the beneficiary resides in Middle East warranted it.

Well its a Norm that all MENA countries beneficiaries are placed on AP...except a few instance, where the Petitioner was there during the interview.Hope you less stressing Visa Journey as you wait for the AP approval

You seem to think I have a personal issue with Nigeria or people who file from there - and that is NOT the truth. I have never attacked a petitioner or beneficiary from your country and have only offered honest and accurate information in threads.

I am not always "derailing" or anything else. If you can't take the truth about a subject I am sorry for your feelings, but the truth IS the truth. So get over it!

There is no need for you to worry my fiancee passed the interview and the CO told us that she would get her visa within 7-10 business days. When I called DOS on Friday the operator told me that my fiancee was on AP. The only difference is that our CO kept her passport. Don`t lose hope! Most AP cases result in approval. The only downside is the waiting.

Thanks but does the AP affects the NOA2 deadline ? :help:

It was posted above that the beneficiary is from Nigeria and residing in a MENA country. 2 obvious signs and indicators for AP.

Agreed. All the OP can do now is hope for a speedy AP. I would assume a couple of months to finish all processing.

Thanks Az110965 but does the AP affect the NOA2 deadline ? Because the deadline for our NOA2 is Jan. 7, 2012 :help:

AP will NOT affect your NOA-2 expiration. You have already had your interview so the I-129F portion is complete.

Your K-1 visa clock will not start until AP is complete and you have the visa in hand.

best wishes for a speedy AP. I hope your approval comes very soon and you can spend the holiday with your fiance.

Yes. we had NOA2 before interview and he had his interview yesterday but the question is there is expiration date for NOA2 for k1 fiance(e). Does this expiration date affect the Administrative Processing (AP)timing by the Embassy?

Thanks

No. Noa-2 is complete when interview is conducted. There is no bearing on AP time frame by Embassy.

Thanks but does the AP affects the NOA2 deadline ? :help:

No, it's a moot issue. The Embassy has seized control of the petition and can take however long they take, regardless of what the NOA2 states.

Good luck!

You can try contacting your senator or congressman, but there is no proof that those types of things expedite.

Just email the embassy for updates every couple of weeks or call the state department.

There's nothing you can do but wait. We've been in AP for over six months now, but I hope that yours will be much speedier!

Lama

Dear VJers,

Firstly, Thanks for all the supports and words of encouragement.

Meanwhile, I am highly depressed because I had my K1-visa interview today and the consular returned my original passport, birth certificate and divorce papers of my fiancee AND he said they will get back to me in the next couple of weeks.

He gave me a visa refusal sheet saying I am on ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING..... Please what should I be expecting from them ? :help:

I will update my timeline in due course.

Thanks

Lama
