interview process Is that true?

Hi ! VJ members. I have a few question about those who fnished their CR1 process . Im working outside of my country for aout 5 years now almost 6 yrs let say. and I got my vacation last august2011 with my fiance and now is my husband we got married also last aaaaaaaaaugust 2011 and after that I came back here in Bahrain were i presently residing and working. My husband and I are planning to file and process our papers here in Bahrain .My question is It is that True that in Interview I should go back to my home country to have my interview there? Cause i heard and read before that If your marriage was held in beneficiary homecounty her interview will be there also even you filled a caase where she is presently residing and working .I am so confused and I need your help .

I only read about this recently and believe it only relates to the K3 visa, in that the beneficiary must interview in the country they were married if it wasn't the US (I'm not sure why). Doesn't apply to CR-1.

My question is . Where my Husband should take the address for me in applying visa? Is that true that were you held your wedding and marriage the interview will be also in my Place (philippines)? You can get your interview done whereever you are legally resident- Barain sounds like that will be the place for you.

Yes, you can do consular processing of immigrant visa in Bahrain - indicate that on the I-130 form. Also make sure to obtain the necessary documents from the Philippines around the time of your interview - police report from all countries where you spent 6 months or more after the age of 16.

CR1 case type you need not to be present doing the interview only your beneficiary home country the interview will take place. If You are the USC or the petitioner is not always important to be there,unless u happen to be in the country prior to the interview date to offer moral support,mind you,some embassy might not allow you in. But for K1 type usually people are allowed in with their fiance,and it helps alot most cases. I hope this helps. Other Vjers would share their opinions later. All the best

There is no USCIS field office in Bahrain, the paperwork will have to be sent to the lockbox facility in Chicago when the time comes to file.

That is not true, if you are residing in Bahrain on a long term basis, you can interview there.

Well, to file -

if to file in Bahrain, that's on the USCitizen, not you.

He/She would have to be a resident there for at least 6 months to qualify for a DCF'd I-130 petition, leading to a CR-1 visa.

OTOH, prolly assume the USCitizen Spouse is not any resident of Bahrain, yet?

DCF is not possible in Bahrain, there is no USCIS field office there. As I previously stated, the US Citizen will have to send the paperwork to the Chicago lockbox.
