DS-157 requires birth certificate but need it now for Interview!!!!

Looks like you have plenty of advise, good luck, request overnight Original make a copy if you can for replacement.

First..NEVER send originals of anything. Only copies. The idea of bringing an original to any interview is ..just in case..they want to make sure the copy you sent in was not altered in any way. If they have no issue with your birth cert that issue may never even come up. They are experts in this stuff you know. Take your copy with you and I would certainly ask to have this copy placed in your file and the original given back. It will be in your file on their desk when you go for the interview.

Your right guys....thank you so much for all your input. I learnt my lesson. I will never send originals again, just copies from now on. It really has worried me alot. I just hope and pray it will be all ok. :thumbs:
