Hi,

I have paid both the AOS and IV fees for a CR-1. Should I expect any further instructions from the NVC or is it OK to go ahead with completing the I-864 and the DS-230? I have waited for an email for 2-3 weeks and nothing from the NVC yet.

Any one in a similar situation or gone past this point?

...no you are good to go as long as all needed supporting documents and the DOCUMENT COVER SHEET ( to identify your case) were included. waiting for snow mail of forms from NVC will just delay ur case closure by weeks!!1

what !!!1 2-3 weeks? if you have all your documents ready,by now your case would have been closed and sent to the embassy for interview had you mailed them in. Not too late though...as long as you have ALL necessary documents and ur payment status on their system indicates PAID, fill out your forms, sign and date as instructed include copies of ur originals in your package..PRINT out and place DOCUMENT COVERS SHEETS FOR THE AOS AND IV documents in front of each package and mail to the address.

I called and asked.. That is for 20 business days!!!! :(. For reviewing the documents!

trust me dnt always go by the date the operators tell you cos sometimes it is way shorter and sometimes it is way longer depending on circumstances. when I called and emailed them abt getting my case number I was told it will take about 6-8weeks!!!! yet I got my NVc case # in 22days. so though they say 20 business days, I have read Vjs who got reviwed in 5, 10 7, or even weeks!!! send in ur documents and then wait
