Hello,

On my 129F (approved 3 weeks ago) I put down my fiancee's address in UK (she was studying there) and her address in China (under "address abroad"). The NVC sent everything to the UK consulate, but my fiancee finished her degree and is now in China; she has no plans of going back to the UK.

So I called the NVC, who told me to call the UK consulate, who then told me to contact the consulate in Guangzhou. However there is only an email form for contacting the Guangzhou consulate, and it requires a GUZ/GZO case number that I do not have. I have my INS receipt # and my Case # with LDN.

Does anyone know if there is a direct phone contact in the Guangzhou consulate for US citizens or have advice on what I should do at this point?

Thanks for your time.

Best,

Wenbo

The IV unit at the GUZ consulate only does email contact..... That was the only way I was able to contact them.

What information did you state on Part B, Question 20 of the Form I-129F?

In order for the Embassy in London to transfer the file to the Consulate in Guangzhou, the IV unit at the Consulate in Guangzhou will have to send a request to the IV unit at the Embassy in London.

Business with the GZ IV unit is only done through the email form on their website, not by telephone. Go ahead and use the LND case number and explain the situation in the email text field.

Give the Consulate in Guangzhou a week to respond to your message, if you do not hear from them after that time, try calling the State Department's visa line at (202) 663-1225 and explain your situation to them.
