Hi! I am preparing my AOS package, we went to the USCIS office here in Omaha Nebraska last week and talk to this lady, she told us everything which should be in a package, one thing that confused was when she told me i need my husband's 2 x 2 picture to be in the package too. Can somebody help me about this? Do i really need his photo in the package or just mine, by the way he is the petitioner. :)

They do not need passport photos of both petitioner and beneficiary, just 2 passport photos of beneficiary .

You are very welcome

Another question, is it necessary that those six passport photos are the same cause i only have here 4 photos the same and the other two are different, is it ok to send them that way? :)

Yes - they should be the same.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

you only need to submit 2x2 photo of the beneficiary/aos applicant. I submitted only 2 copies. ead & ap comes in combo/ 2in1 card. so you dont need separate photo for it.

To be on the safe side, submit 6? Everything else I have read says to send 6, as whilst the card is a combo card - there are three separate applications.

The photos you send with the application used to be used for the AP document, but AP is now included on the EAD card. The EAD and green card both use the photo taken at the biometrics appointment. Even when the photo was used on the AP document they didn't actually attach one of the photos you sent to the document - they scanned the photo into their computer system and printed it on the document. The photos never actually get "used up".

Lots of people have submitted only two passport style photos. I've never heard of anyone being denied or getting an RFE for not sending more.

It's up to you John there has been much discussion on this but you can send just 2 for each application or send 6 but they should be the same photos.
