Have you dscussed that with your doctor?? That would be my advice - get a medical opinion...

Congratulations!

I was in my first trimester when I was pregnant with my first son and I did not fast. I was suffering from terrible nausea and vomiting all the time. If you feel you can fast and it doesn't affect your health then you can. I have a feeling your first trimester nasties will kick in in a couple weeks and you won't be feeling up to it. Good luck!

Mabrook Salwa!

Definately talk to your doctor about Ramadan. I have heard different things. Some say it's ok and some say it's not. Talk to your doctor if it'll be safe for you and the baby. Good luck!

Awwwwwwwwwww congratulations, Salwa -- that's wonderful news !!

Fasting is never mandatory for pregnant ladies. Other members have already given you the best advice on this -- consult your doctor first, and then make the decision based on what is best for your and baby's health. (Many doctors will advise against it, especially during the first two trimesters.)

Happy Ramadan to you, and congratulations to you and your husband on your impending parenthood. Best wishes for a happy, healthy pregnancy !
