From my personal experience, I have got to say that NE is boring, Especially the town i lived in.

You have to drive 4 hours to the nearest city, I couldn't, Wouldn't ever go back.....

Walmart was the only source of entertainment, LOL!

What's NE? Do you mean New England?

I see you have put 'I love Boston'. I am moving to Boston when I get my visa. I think it's great. And from what I've seen of New England (New Hampshire and Maine) it's gorgeous.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

bigots everywhere else too

bedbugs infesting the apartments

You forgot to mention that Michigan is the ONLY state that has the SINGLE BUSINESS TAX!!! As if the big 3 relocating to other countries wasn't enough, we need to get rid of the single business tax and give the small businesses a chance in Michigan. Actually if you go north of Detroit Michigan isn't a bad place to live.

I hear there are signs/bumper stickers in Detroit that say 'Will the last person to leave Detroit please turn off the lights' or something like that. Is that true?

Hehe, LA's just NASTY if you have asthma. I had to go there on business in 2000 and was wheezing for a week after I got back. Yucky air.

Worst place to live, as opposed to visit? Any place where there aren't economic opportunities for me. I'm thinking somewheres like North Dakota or Maine. Of course, for someone else the list of places without economic opportunities will be different.

Does the number and proximity of desi restaurants figure at all in your consideration?

Yes. The question was about 'worst' place to live. Economic opportunity is the bottom line. Without that, nothing else matters. With that, I'll get to the 'nice to have' things like desi food.

I drove through Mississippi in 1985. It was a pretty disgusting state in my experience. I stopped at a gas station. In the bathroom there was actually ####### stuck to the ceiling and the sink. Maybe a unique Mississippi experience. I never had the urge to go back there.

I lived in Texas for a while. When I finally got to leave I couldn't wait. I drove non-stop until I got to Oklahoma. When I got across the state line, I pulled over, got out of the car, and walked on over to the "Welcome to Texas" sign. Then I dropped my pants and took a piss on Texas, vowing never to return.

Cheers!

If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed.
