You'll find an IMBRA RFE scanned here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=18718 - It only asks IMBRA related questions.

As for evidence of having met, I think you should send what you've already sent them and add a few extra things - after all, they're asking for *more* evidence.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

Maybe you haven't sent a copy of your birth certificate or passport to prove citizenship? I don't know.

Can you post here what the RFE says exactly, ipsis literis? It'll help us understand what they're asking for.

Have you met more than once? That is indeed weird if you have sent them evidence. Well, like I said, send out whatever you have sent out the first time and add a few more things - any receipt or different picture you haven't included the first time.

Also, you may want to send a copy of the package you've already sent and write a cover letter explaining that you have submitted evidence of having met before and that you're adding more evidence. Explain how many times you've ment - when, where, what you did. Use the letter to give more details than you've provided the first time when you answered Question 18 on I-129F.

So... pictures dated on the back, copies of your passport showing visa stamps, itineraries, tickets, receipts. Maybe it could be a good idea to include a statement from someone who's seen you together in Brazil.

Anyone else has other ideas?

This request does sound like they lost your evidence. Since they pull apart the application, perhaps they forgot to put the meeting evidence back with the rest of the file.

But since they want more, give it to them. Some additional items:

- frequent flyer miles record

- receipts from purchases there, receipts from sites you visited and paid admissions for

- receipts for parking or transport to/from the airport showing how long you were gone

- an email log showing email before you left and after you came back, with a gap when you were gone (not great evidence, but you never know).

Good luck. I hope they follow the RFE with a quick approval.

Tom

I received the same request. An IMBRA RFE and they also wanted evidence that we'd met in the past 2 years. It did not say "more evidence". It was as if they never received anything. I just returned the package today.

I sent a more detailed list including passport entries, hotel receipts with both our names, hotel ID cards with our names, credit card receipts showing I paid for the airfare the hotel, the ORBITZ.COM itinerary for my flights, and and another 6 photos of us together. I numbered each document so the Officer could easily match the actual documents to the descriptions on my cover letter.

I sent most of the info in my original submission, but maybe the photos got lost or maybe the Officer did not want to search through the details to find the information he's asking for! Don't know, but it should be clear as glass now.

Jimmy,

Oh my goodness, I received the exact same RFE and I had submitted a TON OF EVIDENCE, I am not kidding you. Our cases sound the same. It looks like those darn officers lost both of our packets of evidence. But I also have one added thing. My RFE also states on the very top INITIAL EVIDENCE REQUEST. It asks to send them:

1) Meeting in person

2) Last meeting

3) Circumstance of meeting, this last one you do not mention, so I have this one added to my letter

Oh my goodness, I can't believe what morons they are. I think I'm going crazy. . . . now a further delay ;)

Hmmmm....this is really peculiar to see 3 people all June filers and all receiving RFE's asking for more evidence of having met in person in addition to the IMBRA questionnaire.

How did all 3 of you attach your petition and proof of meeting in person together?

Link to comment

THis is the way I put my petition together.

I put it together using acco fasteners and I labelled everything clearly and easy to understand on the bottom of each page indicating items such as: birth certificate of petitioner, passport-size photo petitioner, passport-size photo beneficiary, copy of my U.S. passport (with stamps), pictures, etc. Well, I put the petition together into 3 separate stacks all using acco fasteners. In one packet I put the I-129f, the I-129F supplement (which was 3/4 of a page long, so I don't know why they want to know about the circumstances of our meetings), the letters of intent. On another packet, I submitted the G-325A forms for my fiance and myself and the passport-sized pics. On another packet, I submitted the evidence of meeting which included passport (with stamps of visit), boarding passes, pictures, emails, letters.

The big thing that may have caused them to question my petition is why I only have 1 passport stamp of entry (when I entered Jalisco, Mexico) on my passport when I state I have seen him 2 times since the time period specified. During the time period they want more evidence from is June 2004 until June 2006. But this is not my fault since they never stamp my passport on my entries into Jalisco, Mexico nor my arrivals to LAX, this is not my fault, I HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THIS. So, the only stamp I have to show as proof of our meeting is a stamp for July 2005, which luckily they did stamp (although the date isn't easy to see, it came out so light). But oh well, I have to submit more proof for them, let's see what I come up with.
