HELP! Mistake made regarding date format on forms

Our visa petition was approved and sent to the Frankfurt US Consulate. My fiancee' accidently put her birth date in European format (Day/Month/Year) instead of US format(Month/Day/Year). Do you think they will make us restart the whole process due to this one mistake or will they understand that in Europe this is standard and let it slide? I know that it specifies the format to write the date but a mistake was made, hopefully they will understand.

No that's a common error as we do the same in Australia and it has taken me some time to do the month first. They will understand what it is and should correct it themselves.
