We are all waiting out this process and it seems it consumes our minds! No matter if we are waiting for the NOA2, waiting for NVC or waiting for interview date to arrive we still get antsy in whatever stage we are in. Currently My fiance Bahadir and I are waiting for our interview date. OCTOBER 27th. The Consulate in Ankara is really behind and on top of that they are taking many holidays these next few months taking away 2 weeks of possible interview slots. Bahadir and I have been waiting so long and as a matter of fact our interview date is 1 day before a year we sent in our petition. Its almost over i know, well this stage, but I wonder how people are making the days pass. Any fun games with your fiance? I am taking a photo each day of the sky up till he is here. The last skies without him. So I am always on the hunt for interesting views of the sky. Anyway I am interested in what you guys are doing or did to make the time pass? ANd lets help the ones just starting out just have a heads up to what to possibly expect!

Hey Michele, I know what you're going through - my fiance and I had a long and strenuous process - it took us almost a full year too till I got to the US. Anyway, one thing is for sure, once you're past the interview, time will fly in supersonic speed - all of a sudden, you'll find yourself finishing up the last tweaks for your big day, then you're married and soon, your first, second, etc. anniversary is creeping around the corner ;)

As for distracting yourself... I had to work the entire time until the big move, so did my fiance - definitely one good way to pass time. I made a lot of photo-compilations, sort-of-scrapbooks, music/photo compilations of our relationship and I actually got started on the AOS/Green Card forms so I could file ASAP after our honeymoon.

Try to relax and make sure your fiance will feel right at home when he gets there. That's all you can really do.

ég eri ekki lengur kalt, hef aftur líf. lifnar mín sál, heiminn mála.

bless bless Þýskalandi! ég elsker þig!

Yes I have been getting into a new home and getting it decorated. Working like crazy and so is he...we get our cam time and we look at each other and say ok lets sleep so tomorrow will come and pass  Because we have such a long wait time for the interview its giving him too much time to think about it....I know once he is here none of the other steps will be as hard...this has been one of the longest years ever!!! :dead: We got to spend all day today together watching movies and such so I know we will make it through. Before anyone starts this process everyone should be given happy pills lol. Glad to see you have made it through all this process makes me smile and know it all can be done. Bahadir always says this is our bad time in our relationship and we are getting it in one big dose and we will have life because of it :dancing: :dancing: :dancing:

We plan to treasure every moment of our life together because as you said this has been a very very very long year.

My Daughter takes much of my time but if Im not occupied with her than I am working out daily, Will be starting school in a couple of months so that is really going to take up A LOT of my time. I do things like pamper myself. Go to events with friends. Learning how to cook foods that he likes to eat.Preparing myself for moving into what will be our new home. Shopping for paint and things that I will decorate our home. Putting together more evidence for the interview stage. Looking over dresses I could possibly wear on our wedding day. Looking over the AOS process. That's pretty much it in a nut shell
