As per instruction you are supposed to keep the X-Ray with you, my X-ray was big enough that it would not fit in carry-on so had to carry it the way it came from hospital.

99% officers dont ask to see it at POE, I was just chatting upon entry with officer and he was like they never look at it - So I asked him what am I supposed to be doing and his reponse was its just your records you can keep it.

Thats it ever since the xray has just been sitting around the house. :)

I have never heard of a CBP officer asking to see the x-rays at the POE. Never. You should keep them anyway. They might come in handy if you end up seeing a civil surgeon for the I-693, and if the civil surgeon insists on a TB skin test, and if the test ends up being borderline positive. This happened to my step-son. The civil surgeon reviewed the x-rays he had taken at Cho Ray hospital in Vietnam and concluded he had a small scar from a previous infection, but was clear now.

My wife brought theirs to the US in their checked baggage. They do not ask for these at POE.

Those who have their medical at St. Lukes in Manila, Philippines will get a CD with their x-ray on it. The people at Chinook's POE didn't want to see it.

Chinook used her x-ray CD when she was hired as a registered nurse here in the States. The company allowed her to skip their mandatory chest x-ray since she already had a current x-ray on CD.

unfortunately mine is the uber huge x-ray film..I might roll it up and keep it on my carry on..wish I didn't have to. I can just imagine if I put it in my checked luggage and they ask to see it, you just never know...better safe than sorry

See if you can put it in a package/mailing tube instead of just rolling it up. even still you don't really want to bend it. Give it to your new DR in the USA if he wants it.

My Xray is in a box in the basement because no one here wants it, Drs said if they want a Xray they will just take one.

Not even a doctor, unless he's trained to do so, can read and understand x-rays. Go figure a cop. Anyway, the envelope conveniently fits in the outside pocket of a smaller size carry on bag.

Topic asked quite regularly, Probably looking in the wrong forum as this is not really a K-1 question but more a "moving here" question.

YMMV

One of the sheets given at the Consulate upon approval talks about the x-ray, to keep as part of your medical records that it is not needed for POE.
