Applied for SSN today - and I've been reading that people went next day, asked and were given printout with the number. Of course asked for this, and been told I need to wait for the card - is it worth giving it a try on Monday ? Getting to the window takes an hour in local SSA here and place is kind of depressing anyway...

Picking up new car today - SSN would help a lot with insurance and getting DL shortly...

I JUST got in from applying for my SSN, I was told to wait. It may be possible to ask again. Hope everything works out!

You mean you got it the very same day you applied for SSN ? Guess I'll make the trip there on Monday then...

Thanks !
