Hi ....You will need 3 for the medical and 2 for the interview (or packet 3). I got mine done at Shoppers Drug mart for 9.99 for a set of 2. The girl took the originals and photocopied them onto glossy photo paper for me at .19 a print. Then she cut them all to the proper size. That was the best deal that I found. If you don't have a Shoppers in your area (I was in NS) try another drug store. Also a heads up for the AOS package,....You need 6 passport photos 2 for each part if you are doing it all at once. I wish I had read ahead because I would have had them done at the same time. Good luck!

For packet 3 they also ask for 2 photos. Many people have sent in packet 3 without the photos and were approved for packet 4 but for some people, not sending in the photos held them up. I'm not sure what the official stance is regarding photos and packet 3, but I sent in photos just in case.

You also need photos for the I-129F. So in total:

I-129F - x2 for you, x2 for your fiancee

Packet 3 - x2

Medical exam - x3

Interview - x2

AOS - I haven't done this yet but the poster above me said it's x6

That would make a total of 17.

More photos will be required if you have children. Also, the photos for packet 3, the medical exam, and the interview (and I'm assuming AOS) have to be taken within 6 months of the appointment. So don't get all the photos just yet.

How many passport pictures do I need for the entire K-1 'journey' and where is the best and cheapest place to get them in Vancouver?

Hi,

I was able to get 6 passport photos for 15.00 from the university photographer. Do you have a university near you that you could approach for a cost estimate?

Yikes, I didn't know I needed that many! Is there a place I can somehow order like 20 of them altogether or something?

Have you filed the I-129F yet? If you haven't, then wait before ordering a bunch of photos, because they have to be very recent (within 6 months) for the interview, medical, and (I'm assuming) AOS paperwork. And typically waiting for NOA2 (which you get after the I-129F) takes about 4-5 months, sometimes longer.

You could get 2 passport photos taken somewhere, then scan them, put the file onto a cd, and then print out multiple copies at Wal-mart or something very cheaply.

That's a great suggestion, thanks. I have not filed the I-129F yet but I didn't take the time into account as well. It is somehow possible to get them printed ourselves. I have a DSLR but I looked and it's hard to find a place that will print out 2x2 photos.

I went to London Drugs and it was $10 before tax... and I opted to get the picture burned to disc for an extra $2. That way, if you need more all of a sudden, it is easy enough to get more printed instead of going to get the photo done again/ pay another $10.

Also, London Drugs knew what I was talking about for a 2x2 size for immigration purposes.
