How do you feel about income taxes being taken out at source?

Since most wage earning Americans can't seem to manage their finances without borrowing, then we are stuck with payroll deductions. It gets even worse now that most payrolls are direct deposited. I pay my taxes quarterly, so yeah, I realize exactly how much I am paying, and to whom.

Guessing. Possibly. It could just be the government wants use of the money asap. For those of us that make periodic payments on our own, if you pay on time, then you are good to go. If you miss a payment, then you have to start making prepayments. The bigger the payments, the shorter the period between payments becomes. I was quarterly, then annually, and have been quarterly again for more than a decade. It varies by agency and type of tax as well.
