Hi All,

Does anyone know what the current turnaround for CR1 Visa Interviews in Montreal?

The reason I'm asking is I just got my NOA2. We are planning to make the move in the first part of 2012 (March/April) due to some obligations I have. I wasn't expecting such a quick NOA2 (Thank God though!)

Not sure if I should take my time through NVC or if I'll be okay to have an interview around January?

Thanks all

J

You should be fine. Even if you were to get an interview in december, you would have 6 months to cross over. Thats far past the time you want to move so you should be a Ok

NVC usually takes about a month or two (if you're on top of things) and then about 2 months from case complete to interview. So about 4 months in total.

But as Canadiandggal said, once you have your visa, you'll have 6 months to activate it. So I'd suggest going through NVC normally (don't take your time in case something comes up and delays you).
