same here hoping to have wife here by march but seems getting the noa2 is slow process specially if california is behind schedule i still have not even got my noa1 hardcopy i guess i need to call and try get another one sent grrrr

We haven't gotten ours either. The first time my husband called they told him to wait 30 days from the date you got your NOA1 txt/email to call them and ask about a hardcopy. Well on the 11th my husband called again as it had been one month, and the operator told him the hardcopy isn't that important as long as you have your receipt number from the NOA1 email. So I guess we will never have a hardcopy, lol.

As for when i'm planning to move, well at first February seemed realistic but now the processing dates seem to get further and further... so I don't know anymore... especially because Montreal is so backlogged, god knows when i will get my interview... let's say now I hope I will be moved in before our first anniversary (July 8)... HAha!! But before March would be SO cool.

Our NOA1 hard copy, was delayed as well. My wife had to call them two times. they finally sent it and she received it some days ago. What I assume is they can be quite lazy when they know you've received electronic notification already and also in our case they said they sent it first but it couldn't be delivered. So it got sent back to USCIS. Watch out for your mail boxes (name change after marriage, etc)

Cheers^^

Well last friday my husband called and asked for an expedite, and yesterday he faxed them proofs... but we never knew if we were approved or not (I don't think we would have been anyway but it was worth a try). And today we got our NOA2 ... so honestly, I think we got it before the expedite got approved!

Do you have to have a reason that they like for the expedite when you call or is that something you can just ask for?

Nevermind, I've seen in one of the other forums that your case is automatically expedited due to your husband being in the military. Oh well. -_-

Hello!

I'm so happy for you guys! :jest:

Did you ask for an expedite?

Right now we are waiting for our case number and we're gonna try to fill the I-864 as soon as possible. My husband is currently in the military and getting out in mid-November, and when we called NVC to ask we've been told that what matters is the employment at the time of filing. So we are gonna try that... Otherwise we will have to wait till he finds a job! It's not so easy with this economy...

Take care of yourself and keep me updated :)
