Arg.. I received my I-797s and noticed the Immigration attorney had made some mistakes on the birthdays.

Called him and he is submitting a correction Tuesday, but ouch. Hope it doesn't impact the timeline. The helpful lady on the hotline I called seemed to think it wasn't a problem.

Good luck all. Interested to see if the process goes any faster or slower with us having paid an attorney. So far not off to a good start.

How pathetic is it that I was very excited when I received my NOA1 hard copy and realized the notice date was August 26th instead of the 29th!?!? I know 3 days aren't going to make any differece in this process, but it still made me happy!

Kathump, not pathetic at all. In fact, I like to believe it's quite normal for people who are going through this process to feel that way. I know I certainly felt happy when my husband told me he'd received the I-797.

Hopefully, this is just a small glitch on the part of your attorney and the rest of your case will progress smoothly. All the best to you and all the other filers!

just got our NOA1 on Aug. 28 2011... hope everything goes well, goodluck to all of us here! :)

All I know, is that I need you... I need you in my life as much as I need food or water or air to breathe - for the longest time, I've had this thirst deep inside... only to be known and understood and be loved for who I am. I have longed for someone, someone like you - to share my life with... all the ups and downs and everything in between. then out of no where - you walked into my life, quenching my thirst, satisfying my longing. and I know from every thing with in - that you are the one... you're the one I've been waiting for all this time. I want and I need you - more than I can usually find words to say... But today and always - please believe and know that you're the one for me and I'll hold you close and I'll never want to let you go...

nothing. there is no more status, and the message I wrote previously is displayed below the 5 circles (showing the status).

We are planning to call USCIS tomorrow anyway, to get it sort out. My first guess is, it looks like they handled it like a petition for green card (assuming I live in the US), but I checked our I 130 form and we didn't submit the I 485, so there shouldn't be any confusion.

I'll call and hear what they say.

Cheers !

You should be hearing from NVC in couple of weeks. You can start preparing the documents unless the are ready already.

Your case will surely give us some hope.
