Soo.. found out our money order had been cashed on August 16. But no NOA1 yet. Is it possible to never get an NOA1 but eventually getting a NOA2? Then how can i know my case number? *Nervous* :huh:

You won't get a case number until your file reaches the NVC. The number that you get from USCIS is your receipt number.

Ok there was a misunderstanding between my husband and me about this NOA1 thing lol. We did not think what we received was it... so in case anyone wonder, if you don't want to make the same mistake as us, here is what we got:

Hello guys I also filed in August waiting on Noa in the mail but already got confirmation email wonder how long the initial review takes

Hi :) I got my NOA1 by email on Aug.12 and i'm still waiting for the hardcopy... but it's not really important as your priority date is when you got your NOA1 by text/email.. meaning that it's the day they actually started working on your case (well there are a few people ahead of you but you will get there lol .. at least you are in their system). From now on, you have to wait 3-5 months. If you go on your VisaJourney timeline and fill it out, you can have an estimate of when your I-130 could be approved. Good luck!
