Hello yah all!

I just want to know, we are hitting 5 months mark on monday and we are planning to call the senator to ask for visa assistant, is it too early to call the senator or should we need to wait for a little while? because we don't know what's w/ VSC, last week we called, they said wait after the 8th, then we called them again on wednesday, they told me to wait til the 17th, then last night when we called again, they told me to wait for another 30days!!! dude, another 30 long days! that sucks! if they have problems w/ papers, why not send RFEs than hold them for long and send RFE after.....Sorry, I'm kinda pissed off w/ the process...I don't want to turn into bitter ugly b*tch but this waiting game already getting into my nerves....and what pissed me off more is, we cannot plan for our future, we cannot move forward w/ our lives....b-(

Anyways, thanks in advance all....

Jan

Give it 30 days. If the standard is five months, then yours may take an extra week or two. Especially if you've already called the Service Center more than once (do they flag the files for frequent callers? would they move yours to the bottom of the pile?).

Think of your senator as a wild card. If you use it more than once, it starts to lose some of its "shock and awe" value. Try not to call the senator until you absolutely have to. (Having said that, it's your right to call your senator or congressman whenever you wish.)

Care,

Bill

I would agree. But don't worry about frequent calls to customer service, the calls don't effect your petition at VSC.

Jan you really have to wait a month after average processing after which the customer service center can send a request in to VSC to expedite your case. Before that the senator or congressman can only tell you to wait another month cause your case will most likely get processed in that time.

Like Bill said you don't want to use your congressman or senator until really necessary cause of the "Boy who cried wolf" factor, as in don't scream until you know the wolf is after you! ;)

Hi.

VSC is catching up so far. Actually, based on Igor's list, they already approving April petitions so I don't know what's happening w/ our petition. I guess they haven't worked on it yet because the last update on my case status still March 12 which is so devastating and frustrating. We will call again USCIS on monday, we'll see what they will tell us this time....

anyways, thanks for the good luck and btw, I'm the filpina wifey...hehe :P

Regards to ur Filipina wifey :

Jan, I feel for you and the other March filers that still don't have their NOA2, it hurts that you aren't along with us already at NVC waiting on the next step. I can't imagine that you'll ever turn into a heartless b1tch over it though, you're far too sweet for that.

Stuart and I know how hard this long wait is, and every day we remind ourselves how it will prepare us to never take each other for granted, that even the simple things like passing a plate across the dinner table will be precious to us, and it's not always to those that had it easier. Your love will prosper all the more because of how hard it is to be together, I promise you that, if you keep that same attitude. And when finally you both are together, all this waiting will be a faint memory.

That day that you get your NOA2 will be the first step towards being with him, and what a wonderful day it will be. Many of us will cheer with you when it comes, even if you have to be a little more patient.

Nema got her NOA2 today, she's super excited about it. I think she's still sworn off the VJ site until after Ramadan, not sure if she'll come on and post for you, and hate spilling the beans for her if she was coming on, but I'm SO excited for her! I need to go look at Igor's list and see who we still have waiting....
