My fiance has a blog page where he writes daily Christian devotionals. I read a couple of them and left a comment. He responded to my comment and told me a little about himself and naturally, I replied...and so it began.... :) He was just coming out of a bad marriage and I was coming out of a bad relationship, as well. Neither of us were looking for a dating relationship....just penpals. Before we knew it, we had become best friends...and the rest is history, as they say. :)

I'm not a K-1 filer but I'll contribute.

I had an Arranged Marriage.

My cousin knew of her and her family and they introduced us.

We met in the presence of both families. Both families agreed. We made the decision after meeting.

We went on several dates after we decided to get married to each other and the rest is history.

Never made a better decision in my life.

I was just chatting to my fiancee on Facebook,it is our main form of communication besides the many phone calls everyday. And we were wondering just how my fellow K1 visa applicants met. For us, she randomly friended me on Facebook. She was looking for someone else who has a rangers job, and saw my profile and picture and thought I seemed interesting. Since then we have chatted almost daily, sometimes for 4 or 5 hours a day.

So my question is..just for interests sake.....HOW DID YOU MEET THE PERSON YOU WANT TO SPEND THE REST OF YOUR LIFE WITH?

Hi.....Bahadir and I met when i was on vacation in turkey, I am a photographer and they were filming a video for the band. www.martaval.org you can see the video that was filmed when we met. We instantly were attracted. He spoke no english. But our chemistry was crazy so before the video shoot was over i left i made sure to make whatever connection i would. I wasnt sure if he was with someone because all the guys in the band had girls there so I wasnt sure who was with who. Well we would swap Merhabas (HI) and nasilsin? (how are you?) for about 2 months. and then his guitar player emailed me asking me if i was single and looking for a relationship. I was hoping it was about Bahadir and it was. His guitar player told me Bahadir has been trying to learn english to just speak with you and he needed to make sure that I was a good person because Bahadir was.......and thats how it started!!!! I knew the second I was in front of him that he was for me....and i was for him.......

We met on Match.com. Skype has been a wonderful tool to help us through all the waiting. Can you believe back in the 1920s, people used to become US citizens as soon as they set foot on American soil?

We met on a language exchange penal site called Interpals. Her photo came up on a random view of users on line. I said hello and commented on her profile. We began exchanging messages. I can not say it was love at first sight because it was about a month before she ever saw a photo of me! We did feel a strong connection and soon after seeing a picture of me our romance followed.

I got a picture in my mind of you sitting in prison and chating on the computer  . I just kept going till a few posts later someone said "penpal"

But then the site would have been called Interpol's, no?
