Nice kick to the ballz.blink.gif

You just know Obama the Socialist is making plans for the final destruction of America. whistling.gif

Funny. And here from where I'm sitting, I see the Tea Party of No, led by fearless leader Grover Norquist, as the ones hell bent on destroying America.

I selected 500 to 649, but I expected it to be closer to 500 than 649. :(

I thought for sure we would see some bargain hunters out there, but it looks like the rating agencies are not done yet. Wait until they start going after corporate paper for major US companies.

Why if securities are being down-rated, are investors running to them? I mean, 2 percent per annum is hardly a decent return. I would think stocks would be even most lucrative at this point.

I think I will take a serious look for some bargains this week.

Definitely wait a bit but start looking now. Stay away from Green stocks though. Tech needs time.

Oil below $80.50  KEEP ON GOIN!!!!

The irony (and hypocrisy) of you wanting the market to collapse so that oil collapses with it is that it is basically a MASSIVE TAX INCREASE TO THE RICH and MIDDLE CLASS...Complete calamity. Devastating...I'm sure many trillions will be wiped clean from the upper/middle class if the market collapses more.

So it's kinda like a giant tax increase except no government collecting it....Just complete dissipating into thin air.

And you cheer this on to save $1/gallon on a bi-weekly 17 gallon fill up at the pump! In other words you will save $17 at the pump every 2 weeks and trillions will disappear from the middle and upper class.

Carry on.

The stock market is "risk" based. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. It's a lot like Vegas.

Only an idiot plays out his life there.

As it should be after the huge deficit spending both parties gave us again and again and again and again again and again, over and over. One day they will see the light I hope to God.

Day trader's paradise. How's your account, LI?

SHEEEEEET

I am not a day trader. I did pretty good back at the March 09 lows ages ago...Went from 3k to over 30k but then bought a house, cleared my account. All swing trades.

I attempted this summer with a few grand to day trade and just couldn't really do it successfully (time frames are just too incredibly fast).

Normally (swing trading) I would NEVER time anything perfectly...And I'd ease into the stock (sometimes over a period of days/weeks).

With day trading I still do not time it perfectly and the end result is I am forced to sell for the loss...And the discipline is much higher on the daytrading. What happens is I win a day, win a day, lose a day, win a day, AND THEN LOSE BIG A DAY!

You know and I know that you can't trade with a few grand (unless trading options)....So I trade with a company that charges me $103 a month.....I put $3500 in and I trade with $70,000!

I'm not about to hold 1k shares of something overnight and then have the stock drop $4 ($4,000) so my only option is to day trade (cause I can monitor/control what I am LOSING for that day). Just not possible for me to lose more than $3500 day trading but holding overnight I could easily.

They are cool though. If I was doing good he'd give me whatever money I wanted to trade, even a million dollars. And they have a risk-team that monitors all the accounts....If a persons max loss is set to $1000 in one day and they are at $1500 they will probably message that person.....If they went too far below the max loss they'd get booted out of the trade. So it is literally impossible to lose more than what is put in.

--------------------

I am going to give it another whirl soon (maybe end of the month)....Another $3500....Buying power will be $70,000...Hopefully this time around I'll figure it out...

They have a pretty cool platform though....Just lightening fast. With Scottrade/Etrade and all the others you usually set the order, then have these confirmation screens pop up.

With this I can just mouse click one time and I'll be in the trade for whatever shares I picked within a millisecond.

Try trading S&P or Dow e-minis. They are highly liquid and you can trade long or short at any time - there are no uptick rules, easy-to-borrow lists, locates or other shorting restrictions.

They are also highly leveraged - you can gain maximum exposure in the market at minimum cost.

I've never traded those and don't know anything about them.

Isn't that sorta like buying call/puts on the SPY/DIA?

No, it's like buying/selling SPY/DIA, only you buy/sell futures instead of stocks (well, ETFs).
