Recent passport photos?

Ok so i am thinking of having the same passport photos printed of my fiancee that we sent in with the original I-129F packet for her to take to her interview. I know they want recent photos but she looks exactly the same will this be an issue and how recent is recent in the eyes of the U.S government?

I thought about doing the same thing and then I realized that the passport-style photos we sent of my fiancee with the I-129F were not quite 2x2 in size so we will need to get more anyways. Even if your fiancee looks the same, I think it would be worth it to not try to cut any corners. At the least, she will be wearing a different outfit or will have a different expression and it can be argued that they are more recent photographs of her.

Recent Passport Pictures are 6 months or less. (maybe even 3 months or less) It depends on how "picky" the CO is.

You are not dealing with the eyes of the United States Goverment but dealing with a separate Entity and that Countries Rules. For the Interview and what comes next requireing Pictures. Recent.

I don't think I'd take a chance and (not) spend the few dollars required for new pictures and save the reciept which is dated.

On a safer note: her pictures will be updated for Arrival in the US and for AOS.

PS Mike: I'm out of work again. OMG! I delayed the petition.

I'd like to see One of Us make it.

Well Mike. I was hired as a working Foreman. The last 5 years Ibeen sitting behind a desk and Unemployed for a year and a half with no physical activity really. What my brain knew VS what my body could do were 2 different things. Soon I found out. My legs felt like Rubberbands and it showed with my performance on the job.

For a laugh: This is what I looked like on the job after a few days.... LOL.

The employer did not fire me but laid me off. To me its all the same. I'm getting old I guess. I'm looking for something else now and delayed the Petition until I find reasonable work.

I have a concern about your Petition you submitted in a earlier post about the new job. Take with a grain of salt. I think its very important "we" have the Interviews before the end of the year so they look at 2010 tax returns and currant income. I mentioned I delayed my petition to gain new employment. You mentioned having 1 or 2 paystubs for Kristines Interveiw. Is that safe Mike. Moreover, can you ship them stubs in time? I know Mav watches everything you post because are cases are so simular.

There are 4 and a half months left in the year to produce income stubs and your 2010 returns. As always, were in the same boat! Good Luck Mike

OP, you're absolutely dealing with the eyes of the U.S. government. The embassies and consulates are part of the U.S. Department of State. I can't believe some of the crappy, completely wrong advice that certain posters insist on publishing here.

In a Info-Pass Appointment, the USCIS CSR told me "Once your paperwork leaves NVC to a different Country, we have No Contol over their decisions about the Petition. Thats what I meant.

I've never read anything here on VJ, or anywhere else for that matter, about a beneficiary being handed a 221g at their USEM interview for having old passport photos. Where did you get the information about "picky" CO's?

That wasn't our experience. Chinook used the same passport photos for the I-129F petition, St. Lukes medical, the CFO seminar, AOS, and ROC. Her passport photos were about three years old by the time she filed for ROC.
