HI Everyone, I called nvc today and got my mom case number...what next need to do? are they gonna send me letters? And how can i check her status online? Thank you!

HI Everyone, I called nvc today and got my mom case number...what next need to do? are they gonna send me letters? And how can i check her status online? Thank you!

In a few days, NVC will send a letter to you with case number, IIN, an expired DS-3032, etc. I call this the initial information package. But don't wait. You can be proactive at NVC if you know what you're doing.

Start by calling NVC and add the email addresses of the petitioner and beneficiary to the case. Get your IIN.

Try logging onto the payment portal and see if the AOS bill has been invoiced yet. If it has, pay it asap!

The beneficiary is also going to need to send the DS-3032. Follow the template here: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Email_DS-3032_form

You should also start preparing the AOS and IV packages so they're ready to go when you can mail them.

In the meantime, I'd highly suggest reading some guides:
