Has anyone with CR-1 visa have their case closed this week get a an apointment for next month yet?

I am curious too because we have not gotten a appointment yet and our case (IR-1) was closed on July 5th and still waiting for them to schedule.

I called the NVC last night, Friday the 15th. They said that there were no appointments available for August and to call back next month . I hope everybody else did better than we did .

I would call Monday to make sure of that. It could be a mistake.

What date did they close your case? I had seen people get early August already when their case was closed on the last day in June. I bet that most of the appointments were taken up by the K-1 since they can schedule themselves and we have to wait for NVC to do so for CR-1 visa.

They closed our case on July 5th..........................

they closed our case last June 20th and after a week they sent us schedule via email on august 5.....usually it takes 20 business days of waiting game.

well I verfied also that its true that their are no more appointments for August. I think they should let us schedule our own appointments like the K-1 visa. I think thats why all the appointments are taken up before those who have CR-1.

My parents cases have been completed just yesterday at NVC. I called this morning to ask when the interview will be scheduled. He said the same thing to me- no more available interviews in Manila and to call back next month to see if an interview for September will be scheduled. It's so near and yet so far! I'll keep you guys posted once I hear from NVC again. Good luck to all of us.

Just be patient, the same thing happened to my wife & stepchild, wifes case closed middle of May and stepchilds case closed middle of June. Since there is a backlog at the embassy we had to wait for the next month before they gave us a interview date in August. My guess would be is that you will have a interview in September pending how backed up the Embassy is.

I want to be here by the end of August for a convention and the last date for that convention is the second weekend of September and also its already getting close to our one year anniversary I did not want to get to that point.
