My priority date is 20 MAY 2002 - my case no didn't show up in the interview list put up by mumbai consulate for august - but hoping it would be for september. My case was complete sometime in January of this year - I understood from them at that time that they are just waiting for the priority date to be current.

any idea on when to expect interview ???

According to this month's Visa Buletin, the priority date for employment 3rd preference for India is 1 MAY 2002. Your priority date is not yet current. That may change in August because August Visa Bulletin currently shows the priority date for employment 3rd preference for India is 1 JUNE 2002.

My case got completed on 07/07/2011 and waiting for an Interview date to be assigned for MUMBAI consulate.

My case was completed on 07/03/2010 and today I received an email from NVC that an interview has been scheduled for the applicant at the U.S. Embassy/Consulate in MUMBAI (BOMBAY) on August 30, 2011 at 07:30 am.

But I do not see my case number at IMMIGRANT VISA APPOINTMENTS - AUGUST 2011

Are you sure your case has been completed on 07/03/2011, Because it was on sunday and 2nd is saturday. So your case might be completed on 1st July.

If your get email form NVC so you are on sch.... It's ok your no is not on list. Just double on list cuz 08/30 interview case on middle of the page too.

If there is not your no. on list then email to mumbai consulate regarding your issue and also att. NVC email with your email to mombay consulate.

Yes I have got the email but my case number is not on the list and yes i will contact the mumbai consulate regarding the same.

Check the AVR regarding completion of your case. Date of case completion will be mentioned in the AVR.

I guess your case must be completed on 30-June-2011.

Same situation my appointment letter says 5th August and it's not on the schedule, reaching Mumbai consulate us almost impossible

Its highly frustrating. Two weeks passed and still NO interview date. I called up NVC and they keep repeating the same old script. "Your case is in queue for scheduling............."

Hopefully you will get it today. If you don't, then on or before 29th July. I don't call them cuz it's make me panic or angry. I am sure you will get in Sep, between 1 to 10.

From NVC complete to visa date as per my calculations from past files at Mumbai consulate is on average of 50-55 days.

I just got my NVC Case Number on 7/22 but I am interested in this thread because our case number starts with BMB instead of MDR (We are from HYderabad and were expecting Chennai). I have got all my documents ready but can only submit after NVC allows payments - hoping to catch the August 7th deadline to get an interview in September. I wish we got MDR.

This is interesting as reading the local papers back in India they have been deferring a major amount of the interviews to the other embassies/consulate due to the current construction and overflow at Bombay embassy.

Yes, it has been like this. I am from Texas and my I-130 was sent to CSC instead of TSC. My spouse is in a small place equi-distant from from Hyderabad and Chennai and we get Mumbai Consulate. But by God's gace we are progressing well thus far and hope to continue the journey with His Grace.

After the issue last year with the CSC-TSC-CSC issue... I have seen maybe 1 or 2 files that have been processed from beginning to end at TSC after it was relayed to them from Chicago Lockbox. Most of the files are VSC and CSC currently.

I am hoping to get my NVC number this week...hopefully I am not too far behind you.

On the I-130 did you state which consulate you were close or wanted to have the petition sent to?
