took my learner's permit to drive today and I PASSED! :dance::dance::dance: I was always reluctant to take the test for only one reason, I was sooo scared to fail. Since I'm on vacation from work this week, I took a 1 whole day of just sitting down and read the driving handbook online.

I swore I won't forgive myself for wasting $48 fee if I happened not to pass the test.

April 06, 2010 - mailed I-751 documents via usps express mail(overnight)with delivery confirmation

April 07, 2010 - packet delivered and signed

April 12, 2010 - check was cashed

April 13, 2010 - received NOA1 (dated 04/08/10)

May 07, 2010 - Biometrics

May 10, 2010 - Touched

June 23, 2010 - APPROVED WITHOUT INTERVIEW!!!

I'm not sure if by state or what.... but I suggest that you learn all kinds of parking... :D

Took me forever to parallel park as well as to get out of parallel park... :D

Congrats!! Im doing mine in two weeks, just waiting to gather 1 more proof of residency. Im so nervous!!!

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Was it too hard? How many hours/minutes took you completing the test?

not sure if it's the same in every State, but it was 20 questions for Road Rules and 20 for Road Signs and you must not miss more than 5 of each to pass. It wasn't hard at all, you just have to focus and you have all the time in the world so just take your time. I wasn't time pressured but I guess it took me 15-20 good mins. to finish everything.

Congrats! why would u pay if u won't pass? It is really fun when u can go to places anytime you want to.

For one, Oklahoma is different. There's only 20 questions total and must answer 18 correctly to pass the test.

Driving is fun...:P especially at the freeways! :D
