What if my co-sponsor plans to retire/change jobs during DCF process?

Hi,

Does anyone know if it matters whether my sponsor plans to retire/ change jobs during my application to move my spouse to the US? They are currently building a new house in Arizona (where I want to move my family) and will be moving out there after Christmas and I know my DCF process won't be finished until after...we will have some assets (i predict around $40k) but think we'll still need a co-sponsor to ensure we can get approved.

Any help - thanks.

You will need to provide an updated I-864 at the interview if things have changed; in most DCF cases, the I-864 is only submitted at interview anyway. It doesn't matter if he retired/ changed jobs, as long as he still has sufficient income or assets to co-sponsor.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
