Packet 3 and DS-2001

I received Packet 3 from the Embassy on the 15th of June, I didn't reply until the 28th June (as was away) and Royal Mail confirmed delivery on the 29th June.

I am still waiting for the MIL's tax transcripts to arrive and thus didn't send form DS-2001 at the same time as all other forms.

I called DOS yesterday enquiring if London had "logged" my packet 3 forms as yet and they hadn't although, "they can take 4 weeks to do so" etc.

Do they require DS-2001 to log the forms or not? I have my medical on Monday, but I assume there is no issue that the forms aren't logged as I received my Packet 3 in the mail?

I plan sending DS-2001 on the 25th July (as again I'm away) assuming the tax transcripts show up by then. Or should I just send in Ds-2001 regardless and delay the interview if required?

Any help much appreciated!

Your interview date will be about a month after they receive your DS 2001 anyway so I'd send it asap and get that in their queue.

Does anyone know for sure if you have to send copies of the required documents along with the readiness form to London?, or just take the originals to the interview?

Secondly, must the interview be paid before London will issue an interview date?, or can we just make sure the fee is paid prior to interview day?

Take originals and copies of documents to interview. Only DS- forms mailed in.

Then a copy of the receipt is sent by email, which must be printed in duplicate. It must then be signed. One copy must be sent in with the readiness form, and the second you have to take to the interview or they will not admit you to the embassy. The gentleman also told him that an interview date will be sent to us via e-mail, not by mail as I know was previous protocol.

When did all this come about?.... I returned my packet 3 on the 25th of June (MRV fee paid prior) but I didnt enclose a copy of the receipt... Can/Will they check from their end that the fee was paid?

You don't send the receipt in you bring a print out of the MRV receipt with you to the interview along with your interview letter. You're ok
