My mom wants to come here as a tourist visa, unfortunately, i couldn't support her financially to cover all her expenses. So she got a friend who is very willing to help her to come her. So her friend sends a letter of invitation, income tax, and also letter to the consulate stating that she is willing to support my mom financially while she's on vacation in the US. My mom haven't been out of the country, so she hasn't any stamped in her passport. She has been working in the government for almost 30 years. & She already filed her leave just for 3 months. We do not have enough income but we own a house. Now my question is, is it possible for her to get a tourist visa? since there's a friend who is willing to support her while she's here and her strong ties to the country since she works in the government for almost 30 yrs?

It is certainly possible.

If your mother has had a steady job for 30 years, why can't she cover her own expenses? It's best if she can qualify on her own.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Working in the government in the Philippines is not enough to save up money, that only covers daily expenses in the Family. She may have probably at least 60k pesos ($1,500 approx) in her bank account and that's it.

She certainly can apply for tourist visa and her friend can show she will bear the cost of the travel etc.

She will have to show on DS-160 that she has a son in US and She will also have to tell your status to CO.

They might want to see your finance as well and would wanna know why you are not supporting your mom.

Don't most ppl there work for govt?

I have another concern. My friend told me that my mom should not put in the application that she has a daughter in the US, because most CO deny the application, telling to just wait for their kids to petition them. But I haven't applied to citizen yet since i do not have a job right now (focus taking care of my son until he gets to school) so i cant petition her yet. My mother just want to grab the opportunity to come here through her friends invitation who's willing to cover her expenses. & She wants to see the kind of life here in the US before she decides to finally live here in the future.

Now, let's say she is able to get her tourist visa right now & I could petition her right now?! So for the interview of her immigrant visa. Can the CO see that she applied a tourist visa before and she failed to put my name in the application? Would it possible that her immigrant visa get deny??

From your post it looks you are looking to commit a visa fraud.

Never ever lie to CO or to officer at POE, everything you say is recorded. I can tell you from personal experience, they had in system what I had told them 10 yrs back.

If your mom does not tell on her form where it clearly ask to put down all immediate relative – it could be considered material misrepresentation. Which can result in lifetime ban.

I am thinking that too. I knew when my husband petition me i had my philippine address and of course my mother's name in there so they can check from there system right? they can see that my mom is related to me when they check that in the system when she get interview? isnt it?
