They would let you into the embassy but not to be interviewed with him.

So it doesnt make any difference in my opinion. You might wanna write a letter and add it to the items he is taking to the embassy....

Good luck

Definately write an Evolution of Relationship letter and have your fiancee take this to the interview. If you can be there it doesn't hurt and IMO it helps. In some countries the VO will ask if you are there or not and why. Some consulates will also let you in to the interview room with her, but I don't know if Manila is one of these. You can check the website for that consulate and it will say who can come in. Even if you can't go in to the interview, she can take your passport in to the interview with her and just have it on the top of the stack of documents she brings. This will show the VO that you are there.

IMHO, it is always better to be at the interview but whether it helps or not is questionable. My wife asked me to attend so I did. If she gets a white slip then you are there with her to give her support and if she gets pink then the two of you can celebrate together.

More than likely they will let you be interviewed with your Fiance.

It's the married couples that they tend to want to keep seperated during the actual interview

Yes, I did attend the interview with my girl, and CO did ask me a couple of questions :ot2:

Nope. The Philippines definitely allows the USC to be at the interview. Mine went and it went great, not that I am saying she won't be fine without you! If you can go that would be great. It is a nervewracking experience

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Thank you, VJ! smile.png

Tallcoolone & Messybrownhair...Thanks for the info as I will be there for the interview and take her home with me to NORCAL.

It would lessen her anxiety, too when travelling. But my main reason is I have not seen her since last October and I miss her so...

I am going to be there for my fiancee. I work as a contractor to a companay. My paystaubs say my contracting house and not my job. So I work for ATT Labs and Research, but paid through another place  From what I have heard recently, you will either be asked to sit down, made note you are there and called over, or sworn in and asked questions. Depends on the CO.

Besides the trip will let me take my fiancee and her parents on their first plane ride. Besides which, since my fiancee is under 21, I do not know what headaches I am going to run into.

Do not forget, you need copies of your birth certificate and passport for her to have for her CFO, plus any other documents. Just give her the same I-129F pack as the embassy has plus the documents she needs for the embassy.

best of luck to you.
