If you had an examination with anyone other than a registered civil surgeon, you'll be required to have another.

well, i went to the hospital on the list and had the examination, but not by the doctor listed.

You may not have had the correct examination. The immigration medicals can only be done by the listed doctors from the embassy.

Amman Jordan, it says the medical exam may be given by the selected the hospitals and physicians. However, my fiancé let me know about the exam before I received the Packet. I went to the hospital on the list, told them that I needed the medical exam for the embassy. They new what I meant and I went through with it. So I'm wondering if I have to do it again because I didn't do it through the doctor but through the er doctor.

What country are you in? What exactly does the list say? It does vary from country to country.

The Amman embassy website does seem to give the impression that it is the individual physicians you need to use, rather than their place of work. Try posting in the Middle East regional forum. Also, if you update your profile so that your country is Jordan then other members from there will see your posts if they use the portal, so you will be more likely to get useful responses.

Like I said, the embassy website does seem to indicate that the physician is the important thing, however I would like to make sure: maybe someone else from Jordan could tell you they had used a different physician and their medical was accepted by the embassy.
