I still haven't got any points...me and my fiance has a daughter which is my daughter is almost 3 years old now. My fiance is a U.S citizen but my daughter is not a U.S citizen. But then i asked if my daughter can goes under my K1 since she's not a U.S. citizen but then i got an answer that i need to go to the consular office to do the CRBA and so i can get her a U.S passport then she needs no visa's anymore. But the question is i already got my daughter's Philippine Passport, Would that be okay to get her a U.S. passport? How long does it takes?..my visa's interview will be on july 28,2011. Please,i need a lot of helps from this forum..

Thank you so much!

if your fiance is the father of your child then she is a US citizen by birth to a US citizen then you need to get the crba it takes about two weeks and you will get a us passport and you will still need the philippine passport. if he is not the father then you will need to apply for a k2 visa for her. My wife and I have 2 children born in the philippines but are us citizens and we can help you if needed to get your child here with you. both my children and my wife are here in the United States. we can help guide you along the way if you need help.

Your child is eligible to apply for CRBA if the petitioner is the biological father of your child. If your child gets the CRBA then she is a US citizen which means she don't need to have a visa to enter the US.SHe only need a US passport and the CRBA certificate. Go ahead and file for CRBA( mine only took 10 days). Your daughter can have both US and Phil. Passport (much better).

Really thank you so much guys!..

Yes My petitioner is the biological father of my daughter, but he can't able to come over just to file the CRBA,he's too busy on his job and he don't wanna lose that job since we were planning to get married in his country. Does he need to be here for the CRBA or i can just do it by myself?

try to make inquires at the embassy again about ur previous CRBA application. You do not need ur husband to do this.all u need is his signature on the documents. I went home to the Phils in 2008 just to give birth and hubby was not even there when i had our baby. I did it all by myself and hubby's job was to send me the money i need for expenses and his signature and it all went well.

Good luck!
