i'm pretty sure your poe would be Sacramento bc your poe is suppose to be where you got processed when you first entered the states

Yes but I didnt get processed in Sacramento, I got processed in Toronto. You pass through customs before you even get on the plane thats why I'm confused.

Someone correct me if i am wrong. When they talk about your point of entry they mean your point of entry in the US so that should be Sacramento. I know what you mean with customs because for me I had gone to Kenya in December and passed through Instabul Turkey and had to pass their customs but my point of entry in the US was Chicago which ofcourse i had to undergo their customs also, so when applying for an AP/EAD I wrote my point of entry as Chicago and got the documents with no problem. Hope that helps.

The mean PORT OF ENTRY into the USA and it would be Toronto Preclearance

YMMV

Agreed....It would be Toronto pre clearance as that was your port of entry. When you arrived in CA you were a domestic flight.

your POE is toronto, if that is where you went through CBP.

there are at least 5 airports in canada that do pre-clearance to the US (ie, you clear CBP in the airport), and toronto is one of them.

Toronto has a CBP preclearance station where they process people coming to the US. This allows you to clear US immigration while still at the airport in Toronto, and then arrive at virtually any airport in the US without having to go through immigration. There are CBP preclearance stations at nine different international airports in Canada, as well as a few Caribbean countries and also Ireland.

http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/toolbox/contacts/preclear_locations.xml

A CBP preclearance station is a port of entry. The OP's port of entry was Toronto.

Toronto is not in the US.

Many airports in Canada have pre-clearance which makes the POE at that airport. Once a person goes through the security and customs they are considered to be in the US.
