I found out today my new case number for my I-129F. The representative on the phone gave me my new case number and says its in additional processing. I was wondering if anyone knows what that means and how long it takes. Is it also normal for petitions to have additional processing.

I was in AP on the 7th of June. Called the next day and was told that my application was sent out on the 7th. So mine was in and out of AP in under 10 or so hours. I think they are telling more folks that as they are getting an increasing high number of applications, seeing as Vermont and California are popping out applications faster than usual. By saying it's in AP, they buy themselves some time if they get behind.

Have faith and just call every morning!

It is a good news to get to this stage. The AP at the NVC may take from a week up to 3 weeks. There is nothing to worry about. They will send it to the embassy soon.

Well got good news. The NVC said they received my case on June 8th. They said it was in additional processing and could take up to 90 days to complete. :( I was worried since we had all ready waiting 5 months for the NOA2 approval. But when I called on the 10th I was informed that it was sent out to the embassy on June 9th. :) I am so happy, it seemed to only be at the NVC for 1 day.

It is good to know at what level of the processing stage is your petition. Good luck with the AP.
