Just applied! How's Nebraska?

I just mailed all of the application materials for the K-1 visa today. It took me forever to assemble all of the materials and documentation. Since I am from Illinois, I mailed my application to Nebraska. How long a wait is it there? Does anyone have any recent experience with this service center?

From reading these boards and checking timeline information on Nebraska (I am going through them) , it seems Neb. is so-so time wise. Expect 30-60 days. Maybe more people will post here and give you and me a better idea.

It took about 42 days to get my NOA2 from Nebraska... the time goes by pretty quickly! Good luck!

I looked at the timelines from USCIS and from AILA. They are totally different. USCIS gives about 3 months. AILA gives 6 months. It's crazy!

But right now, I just hope that I did everything correctly.

Welcome to the waiting game! I hope your wait is short.

We are going through Nebraska as well and have now been waiting 50 days; status hasn't changed on the USCIS website either.

Hi!

It took Nebraska about 45 days to process our K-1. It was submitted at the end of August and approved mid October. Remember to check back at the status of where they're at with processing. That was somewhat helpful for us.

We are currently at 42 days and no status change in our case (Just the NOA1 no touches) ....

I'd imagine Nebraska is closer to the 60 days rather than the 30 days ... But to be honest it doesn't feel like it has been that long already .... so the time seems to go by fast ...

Seems to me that Nebraska has no order to them at all.

Just 3 months ago I got mine in 14 days. Yes, 14 days from NOA1 to NOA2. There were a slew of us who all applied at the end of Nov. who were approved at the beginning of december.

I have seen others wait 3 plus months, and some of these people filed within 2 weeks of my application. The 30 to 60 days is a rough estimate at best.

Be glad you aren't at TSC or CSC, those to service centers are 6 plus months. 2 years ago, NSC was taking 9 months to a year. So it could be a LOT worse. I personally know someone who waited 332 days in 2003/2004.
