Hi Ameri-Turks!

I was making sure all was in line with ankara Embassy website and I came across this. About Income Subject of US Citizen. Is this new or a recent change?

Do the Same Income Requirements Apply to Form I-134 as Apply to Form I-864?

No. The 125 percent of the federal poverty guideline minimum income requirement, the most recent year's tax return, and other requirements only apply when Form I-864 is needed. Applicants presenting Form I-134 will need to show that their U.S. sponsor's income is 100 percent of the federal poverty guideline.

here is the reference link: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_2994.html#7

I am right at the line with the 125% so I was getting a co-sponsor JUST IN CASE...and I am over the 100% of federal Poverty level. SO my question is...Am I reading that at his interview they will require my income to be 100% over federal Poverty level?

Last time I read this ..it did not read this way!

Michele

It also says now that once the visa is approved that the beneficiary only has 4 months to enter usa...not 6 months like before...DID anyone else see this?
